I am aiming to get my Brussels Sprout, Cabbage (Summer), PSB and Cauli plants into the allotment very soon. Who has planted out what so far?

I'm told that club root is an issue in our site so I've got a load started in modules/flats that will be potted up once or twice before I put them out.
A neighbour had good results doing that last year so I'm following his lead.

              Hi

A trick I saw on a Gardeners world special was a mix of broken egg shell, compost and lime into the hole then plant the brassicas into that. They had had clubroot on the allotment but by doing that he'd had no problems and cracking veg to boot!

              Hope it helps

My sprouts are just about filling 3" pots now but apart from that I've not started sowing brassicas. Don't do summer ones as I prefer other things then but will be sowing PSB, caulis, kale, cabbage etc in the next few weeks.

I have planted out Primo and Red cabbage. Greyhound will go out in a couple of weeks and so will Summer caulies. I have started sowing romanesco and winter cabbages in the greenhouse and Xmas sprouts. All these will not be planted out until the new potatoes have been lifted.
