Mt Tomatoes flower every leaf joint (or maybe its every second leaf joint, I forget) consistently, so I don't feel that they "stall" once they have successfully flowered, whereas on Cucumbers it can take a month before the second flower comes if the first it allowed to set - well, that's been my experience anyway!

So I don't remove flowers from my Tomato plants - but I agree, if the plant is not yet big enough to carry the fruit then better it isn't allowed to set - I wonder if the plant has been stressed that it is flowering whilst so small?

My one probably was. Shipped halfway over the country. Kept at the garden centre, then brought home by me and re potted. We sell some that are shipped in from Italy, mad really
