Favourite tool?

Hope this is ok in this bit of the forum...

I was wondering what's your favourite garden tool? What's the one item that never strays too far from your grasp? What do you use it for?

Mine is this:



I use it for just about every little weeding & tidying job going - it's invaluable. I got it from the Gardener's World show at the NEC last year, for considerably less than currently advertised on their website.

So, what else do I need to think about buying?

Mine is my border fork. Himself bought it for me when I got my first allotment. It was a Christmas present and was carefully wrapped, each tine separately, in Christmas paper. He handed it to me and asked if I could tell what it was! I use it most days - it's brilliant and is the right size and weight for me to dig for ages without aches and pains.

Mine is my heart shaped long handled spade. I've always wanted one and when I noticed them a few months back at a very cheap rate in the local Netto's I just had to have one!
I've never regretted it and hardly have it out of my hands at the lottie!

Sadly, whilst working, my dad and I have played the game 'if your hand was cut off and replaced by a garden tool what would it be' - hand rake came out tops

Mine has to be my new hand fork and trowel...both with pink handles so I can find them in all the greenery.

The in-laws bought us a shed load (literally) of garden stuff for our wedding. Reckon it's the purple gloves which match the purple trug and the yellow gloves which match the yellow trug.

Hello, I've just joined the forum and am looking through various posts and threads.

I do like mrbadexample's little hoe - (I will have to drop hints at Christmas!!)

I have some nice tools, but these three are among my favourites.




The BRADES trowel is about 70 years old, the CK knife I'm not sure about and the ROLCUT secateurs from about 1950
