Sorry folks, I know there's been some discussion about this, but I've searched and searched and well, you know. I'm going to try some celery for the first time, but wondered about trying it in buckets. Would it be one plant per bucket, or should I be looking to have a "block" in a bucket?

Hi Flo,I would GUESS the constraints to be,
The size of the bucket in comparison to the variety & the space physical required to be able to blanch effectively, that is assuming it is not a self-blanching typeLast edited by bearded bloke; 23-04-2011, 09:46 PM.He who smiles in the face of adversity, has already decided who to blame

Thanks both. I've bought some little plants and put four in each flower bucket. I'll transplant to one per bucket and I'd better look to see if it's self-blanching! During my search I did see a post that recommended putting the bucket in a saucer and keeping it permanently full of water.Last edited by Florence Fennel; 24-04-2011, 11:21 AM.Granny on the Game in Sheffield
