  • Early blight on my tomato seedlings?

Not sure if this is early blight on my brandywine seedlings or if they just need a pot upgrade? Thanks!

I'm pretty certain it isn't blight - far too early. I'm afraid that I don't know what is wrong with it but it looks pretty big so I guess a pot upgrade might be a good idea. If you have any tomato feed then give that a try (assuming you haven't already)

No to blight from me too. When you pot on you can bury the stems of toms deeper into the new pot - Those little bumps at the bottom of the stem will grow into roots

Just elderly leaves. The plants definitely need potting on into bigger pots.

Most of the things people think are blight aren't. Leaves do get a bit weathered looking. It generally doesn't hurt the plant to take a manky leaf off.

Pot them on, give em a feed and water from the bottom, that way you won't scorch the leaves

Hi Deltz, I'm in east london too!

My tomatoes are small... Only about 3", they were sown mid-March outdoors in the blowaway, germinated early april. They are kind of bushy though. Does that seem about right?
              Thanks

Bronwen, bushy is just right if they are a bushy type Your toms are slow because they've been cold. You'll get faster growth if you keep them indoors on a windowsill until April, then put in your blowaway (if you have room, and if your windows are south facing)
