  • Decent modules?

Can any of you recommend decent module trays? All the ones I've bought from various places (with the 30 modules in) seem to have split, or broken after just two years use.

I saw Monty on GW mention decent ones, and his ones seemed to pop up and out really easily.. do any of you know the brand of these module trays?

    Thanks

I buy mine from LBS Garden Warehouse and am using some of them 3 years on. They do mail order.

I guess it's difficult to get a compromise between flexible enough to pop out the plants, and sturdy enough to last...

Mine are from wilkos and have survived 3 years (and much of it neglect) as I'm not one for much caring.

I absolutely DO NOT recommend Wilkinson's - they split before you've even used them. I've just taken all mine back to the customer service desk in disgust

(I've now using some from eBay, they're terrific so far)

Best ones I ever found were discarded by some Council blokes planting out beds. No idea where they originated though.

Shame no one makes them of that silicon stuff that you get for cooking cakes/loaves etc?

Neoprene would also be a suitably long lasting material!

Try these. I have 3 and they are superb for germinating and growing plug plants.

I am not one for caring much so always take the free ones from the garden centre recycle bin.
They hold two three years usually.

I've had mine so long I've forgotten where I got them from! I've a feeling it was Wilkinsons.

Ahh, thanks TS. I've been looking for cheap square pots (as they sell) for ages. Infact, they have a lot of stuff that I am after - I can see a big order coming up!

why oh WHY did i just email them asking for a quote along with other stuff too? ;/

The modules i've been using have been from poundland- very little i put in them has germinated so far and every time i've had cause to pick them up i feel like i'm going to lose them all! Not rigid in the slightest
