I bought some Bhut Jolokia seeds which is supposed to be the worlds hottest chilli. I ignored the "germinate in wet paper" idea and put them in damp compost in pots next to the vent at the top of the greenhouse heater. That was 3 weeks ago. This morning, 5 of the 9 had started to show. If they survive to a transplantable size, they are up for grabs bar 2. Anyone within travelling distance of Bishop Auckland is welcome to one!

The peppers started to sprout yesterday and by today they are about 1" high. I make that about 8 days from sowing to sprouting keeping them in the airing cupboard. I'll leave them on a warm windowsill during the day for max light.I you'st to have a handle on the world .. but it BROKE!!
