    Anything small, blue and fluttery at this time of the year is likely to be the Holly Blue butterfly. They are only moth sized, really pretty.
    Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

      Thanks so much guys re pea moth recognition. It was small blue and pretty so think it was Holly blue butterfly. I looked up the link thanks LJ and saw the pea moth - yuk! Not pretty at all!
      BTW had first servings of mange tout this week and they were crisp, sweet and gorgeous. I've just planted two more gutter loads. When picking the peas I was stabbed sharply in the chin by a pea stick (it could have been my eye). It served as a good reminder to place yogurt/plant pots etc on the ends of the sticks. Please don't be as stupid as me and cover up those sticks!!
