Confused now. But mine are flowering now so will wait a few more weeks and see what I get. They have been in since mid march and in a greenhouse...

And to think you accused me of getting yours by mistake

I've still got the extra ones sent , I have nowhere to put them short of digging up what's left of my lawn so I'm putting them in a gap between shrubs where they won't get much light till I prune after flowering in July and as I'm low on compost they are getting a small amount and when they are through, black pond liner to keep out the light and water in.
I'll settle for a few jackets or mash in November

        That's what I do.
Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,

Then I had to wait for them to chit before I could get them in, so they were really late. I emailed asking where they were; I was given the expected despatch date and told I was informed of the despatch date when I ordered. I checked. Dec 2010 - May 2011. Cheers T&M, that narrows it down a bit.
You shouldn't have bothered waiting for them to chit, much better just to get them in. You chit to give them a bit of a boost in the time when it's too cold to be planting.

Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.

I've been offered a refund for substitute potatoes and the promise that voucher will be accepted after end of June so I'll just have to see how they grow now. Didn't bother to chit just got them straight in the ground as it is plenty warm enough here now- if slightly resembling the Sahara!

Bumping this thread as I've just had a bag of Blue Danube from the Sarvari Trust as I crowd-funded their research into blight-resistant spuds.
What were your opinions of them? Anyone still growing them?

They weren't bad and I did get a crop even though planted v late (sound familiar!)My notes just say reasonable crop with no comment on flavour. I think they were a bit cloudy for my taste so I've never grow again. I think better than some of the Sarpo family I've tried.
