I'm fortunate to have a friend who is a florist. I've got some of the round ones going spare if you want them? Happy to post them if I can find a box.

Asked in Asda today, but the guy said they recycle them. Maybe I should have point blank asked for them, maybe next time. I was gutted though, could see at least 10 empty ones by the flowers.

Went to ASda again this morning. Got 8 Buckets. It just depends on who you ask.

It doesn't make any sense for a supermarket not to give them out because they are recycling them - surely planting veg in them is recycling them?

If you look by their cashtills at Asda you will see that their waste bins are in fact...

My best friend is an ASDA manager. They do not recycle flower buckets.

They told me they sent them back to be reused, or at least they sent them back. Does he definitively know what happens to them?

My local Morrisons in Derby have always given me as many as I can carry for free when they have a supply. First time I've ever heard of paying for them???

Don't complain to much - they will start selling them (with a big mark-up).

Thanks to whoever posted about Morrisons as we managed to pick up 30 big ones today for £2.97. I was going to buy Tom pots from Wilkos today at £2.49 each but not now!

The best way to put drainage holes in these pots is a piece of hot metal, if you try to drill them they can crack very easily.
