Well pleased this morning to see my Aubergine Ophelia in flower, so fingers crossed that this year I get some fruits.

Mine appear to have been rather sluggish since being sent out to the greenhouse for nights, but I noticed yesterday that they almost all have a flower bud. And it's only May! I've also got chilis set from Jan sown seed, so something in the weather is on my side this year...Garden Grower

Trying aubergine this year, but I'm very frustrated at the slow rate of growth. Glad you have a flower Bren. BR, as far as I know, they like to be warm and sheltered, but I am a novice at aubergine, you might want to wait for the advice of someone with more experience.Granny on the Game in Sheffield

Did you plant them in a heated prop? I didn't but kept them warm, and they were so runty you wouldn't believe it. Chillis not great either but mainly b/c deformed thanks to aphids, damn damn...
anyone out there know whether the wind on my windowsill will put paid to my aubergine hopes? They do get a lot of sun up there...
