A shower here during the early hours, but it's sunny and breezy again now.

It rained here yesterday evening, which was good as everything needed watering as I'd been a tad, well lazy tbh!!
But I don't think it was enough, things are still looking a little lacklustre. I need to get out there and do a few jobs, including watering! Although I have put washing in the machine, so perhaps it will rain again now...

It chucked it down last night, and the plants were basking in the sunshine this morning looking very pleased. I was just getting into my aphid picking routine when I felt something cold on my back - hailstones! It hailed for about 5-10 mins, very heavy, then turned into a shower, and now its sunny again.
dammit, I hope this rain doesn't bugger up my chances of picking any more elderflowers!!

I have been waiting to put up a shed on the allotment as we've been having plenty of heavy rain here - so I kept checking with the Met Office for a lull. Checked this morning and got white cloud with occasional sunshine.
Trailered it up, took it down to the plot, got three sides up and got hit by a monumental hail shower.
Once that passed, the sun came out and has evaporated just about ever bit of moisture in the ground.
So weather forecasting is a pretty random guessing game. We're the Sweeney, son - and we haven't had any dinner.

There's been a little here in Bury, there was a prolonged period yesterday but the lawn's still looking patchy and the effects seem to have worn off quickly! I just went for a bike ride out past Thurston and the skies were dark like nobody's business but nothing's fallen here!
