Im new to growing this year i have around 8 Tomatoe plants in grow bags, 3 to each grow bags i water them every early morning and night i sow'd the seeds on 11/4 and have had no problem until today when i went into the greenhouse this morning the lower leaves are tucked right under and towards the stems as if they are hugging themselves but they look very healthy. Could anyone tell me if they know what it is its not all the tomatoe plants just a few of them

Thankyou to you both for your answers im very grateful, i was worried it might be the leaf curl virus but im assuming it would affect them all if so, i have been misting the leaves and thought it might be something to do with this as i have only just started doing so and i have just been told i should'nt do you think this could be something to do with it. Thank you

No some people mist to help set tomatoes and I doubt you've done anything. All tomato leaves curl at some point. Check them at night and you'll see it again. I don't bother misting tomatoes as I've never had a problem with them setting but I do it with greenhouse cukes to help control red spider. I also mist runner and French beans to stop flowers dropping of without setting.Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein

I've never misted tomatoes - tapping the stems is enough to disturb the pollen to fertilise them. Leaf curl is common and rarely really a problem.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Thanks everyone for the replies it helped a lot.At least i got some sleep last night i was worrying they had a disease. Rusty lady i dont have pics as when i went in this morning the plants are back to normal isn't that really weird, ive stopped misting the leaves now. Im so relieved. Plants are about 10inches id say. Think they have got minds of their own. It was the yellow variety that was the worst.

They curl at night or when temperatures drop. Think of it as rolling up in a cardy or to go to sleep.Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein

Today, shock horror, i found a tomato plant seems to have died back three or four inches from the top. None of the others seem to be affected so goodness knows what is going on. I have a sideshoot which should have been taken off sitting in reserve should it be needed.
