  • Droppy chillie plants

My chillie plants are getting droppy. Any ideas why?

it's cold outside, and it might be too wet.
    looks healthy though.

My first year growing them, so as far away from being an expert as possible!
Advice I've been given though is that they need a LOT of light and a fair old amount of water too.
A couple of my plants wilted quite badly, thought I might had been over-watering, left them a few days ( they got worse!), gave them a drink and hey presto!
I'm enjoying the challenge! I just hope I'll be enjoying a nice hot home-made curry at some point in the future

Sorry, not a lot of help- but good luck.

Clay soil is just the big yins way of letting you know nothing good comes easy.

Ive always been told to water meanly - so I let mine nearly dry out and then just give them little. Are they indoors or out? It may be a little cold for them outside - it looks like a healthy plant though!

wow there you go to water or not to!
I'd go with Jelliebabe, as I said 'far from expert'!

In saying that, mine are doing well being fairly moist. Maybe I'm slowly drooning them I'll ease up a bit.

I know I'm right about the light tho..... Right?

As everyone else is saying about the water, but also have you potted it on recently? I ask because I had the same problem last year with mine and asked the question on here. Apparently potting them on too soon and into pots too big can cause this problem too...

Hope this helps and good luck!
            What would Delia do?
