Taking cuttings from determinate toms

Can I make cuttings from the sideshoots of determinate tomatoes?

Well, actually, I know I can - 'cos I have (Don't ask!)

What I meant was will they grow into proper plants or will they just remain as rooted sideshoots which will only produce one truss of tomatoes?

I don't know. I can't see why it wouldn't produce exactly the same as the parent plant but I have no proof of this! Give it a whirl in the interest of science.

I'll give owt a whirl in the interest of science (The sentence most used throughout my childhood was "Curiosity killed the cat" ), but I can't help worrying about the dozen odd people to whom I gave little pots of rooted cuttings
