  • What's your least favourite job?

There's no getting away from it... My compost heap is getting huge and needs turning. Last time I did it I came across a family of toads. Bad news for my wormies.
I re-housed them up at the canal. Wonder what I'll find this time?

Assuming you mean garden related () I dont particularly like double digging at the moment, as the ground is SOOO hard and dusty cos we have had no rain (or hardly any) for months...

Putting my tools away! I get them out in a buzz of anticipation but by the time I've finished I'm tired and don't want to be bothered. Naughty Flum!

Turning the compost has got to be one of them. Also clearing out all my pots of flowers I enthusiastically plant up in the spring and then come the end of the season need emptying and bagging up the compost to take to the allotment.

I just leave mine in the boot!

Clearing plots is mine.. I've done pretty much two of them now - haven't hardly planted anything.

Weeding. Especially around rambling plants like melons and cucumbers... We have weeds here that I swear grow 12" overnight! ;-)

I have to add forgetting to leave gloves in the car so that when I spot some comfrey in a hedgerow I can pick it without going "aya aya"!
You'll be proud of me though, just coming back from the re-cycle site and got a bag full.

                      Sore hands tho!

Did that today too. Well some pong. And some worm tea. My hands absolutely reek!
                        My wife is not impressed.
                        I'm cooking dinner too!

Got weeds like that too. Including bloomin horsetail. In actual fact I don't really mind the weeding. It can be quite therapeutic - a sort of mindless task.
Mindless of course when I whip summat out I shouldn't !

Having to put mesh over brassicas to deter the flying rats! Its hard to have an ornamental kitchen garden type allotment with bits of mesh and canes stuck all over the place!
