My tomatoes were a bit late this year so only have a few fruits set so far. All are indoors as we get blight here and it is not worth growing outdoors. Have not done tumbling tom this year but am trying a yellow currant. They are supposed to be a cordon but are doing OK in baskets.

      Lorraine,

I grow the original Tumbler without the Tom bit.

They went of the market a few years back and during that time I tried various other bush/tumbling types including Tumbling Tom, Garden Pearl and Red Alert and to be honest I did not get on with any of them.

They were re-introduced 2009/2010 I think anyway I went straight back to them, I honestly believe they are one of the easiest of toms to grow, prolific and a good taste.

      Good luck with yours Colin

I am in Berks. Really cant remember what they looked like at this stage last year but I do recall that nothing I had, incl peppers, chillis and aubs, fruited till at least mid July last year. Then they all kept on till the first frost.

Mind you even my flowers in my borders didn't come up to late June, but were vigorous once out.
