I never pinch out or prune anything on my aubergines.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Neither do I, but i must be doing something wrong because all I ever get is pretty purple flowers and no fruits.

if you can't keep them very warm, then it's probably be an idea to sideshoot them, I didn't bother with the ones in the tunnel last year, but i did do it to the ones i grew under a cloche in the garden. got about the same result from both methods, a couple or three off each plant. Having said that though, they went in late in the tunnel, and late outside.

I'm in the same boat as Bren, but am hoping for better this year. They have plenty of room this year and in the greenhouse which gets full sun. Will also go around with the paint brush. No sign of flowers yet though.

Are they still growing slowly? Mine aren't showing much sign of growth, they are about 6" high, but don't appear to be moving.

Well done Bins. You've grown a different variety this year haven't you? I'm trying long purple (I think you tried them last year), but they're taking ages, I wish they's put a spurt on.

Bren have you been round giving them a tickle ? or try giving them a little shake like with toms .
Flo yup , last year long purple which were exactly that this year am trying some that should be fatter. Can't remember the name tho' but it said that three plants should be enough to feed a family of four. I have seven and there's only three of us who eat them .....here's hoping for a glut

I have a couple in the greenhouse and one in the poly, all are very slow. 2nd summer up here, so still trying to find out what will grow.
Still have 4 or 5 good plants on the window sills that are just starting to flower.
