I've gt to thin my swedes soon, and I did wonder if the leaves were nice? Be a change anyway! anyone eat them? Plants are about 15cms high so the leaves are quite small

I believe you can eat them they are part of the brassica family as to weather there nice I would not know

Are they smooth? I only ask as when I was down at the plot the other day, and feeling peckish, I thought I might try a turnip leaf (at that point the salad leaves were too small) and soon changed my mind as they were darned prickly!

If they're not armed with spines I don't se why you can't have a try...

I've been thinning my swedes for the last couple of weeks, and having the small leaves in salad - very nice. Just thinned them a bit more tonight, and am going to cook the by now slightly larger leaves like spinach, as someone online recommended - we'll see !
