  • I have withdrawal symptoms

I keep going to my seed box to see what I can sow next, I have fennel, kale, peas and cabbage all waiting to find a space in plot but i really miss all the sowing and transplanting, my diary pages are empty. I'm digging up my early potatoes, but can't eat that many, as that will give me some room .What can i do to stop my sowing anxieties. Answers please to help my withdrawals getting the better of me. Weeding NOT the answer it doesn't give the correct buzz- associated too much with housework urg !!!

Straight jacket? Sit on your hands? Sorry, it's frustrating isn't it? How about containers, or do you fancy growing chrysanthemums?

Why not try marigolds and nasturtiums? They're both edible and are brilliant companion plants for your veg.

They are already propping up cabbage etc, - I'm a lost cause. Think i'll need to bake a cake, off to find 1 with courgettes.

Herbs?! Just sown kale and more peas! Weed your borders! Keep busy. Put your diary pages/yield results into the other thread...shhh! You know the one I mean ;-)

Managed to find a space I'd prepared for fennel but its not quite ready to put in so transplanted some peas. So far my peas have been great and I'm trying to sucession plant. fennel will go into space cleared when i lift carrots.
Eyeing up neighbours plot as I only seem to have enough veg for 1 or 2 days and not enough for freezing.
I'm sure he'll give up by next year, it's all out for a few days and then left to go wild. Everyone else gets numerous plots if they work them and all the people on waiting list don't want uncultivated plots. I turned another plot down earlier in year as I din't want to be greedy but !!!!!!!!!!!!
