Confusion Whether to remove male flowers from Cucumber Plants

I am growning Unwins Tasty King cucumber plants and i have read in my book that i should remove the male flowers because if they fertilise the female flowers the cucmbers will be bitter, but on the internet it says that the female flowers need to be fertilized and not to remove the male flowers, Im so confusedIf i remove the male flowers and the female flowers are not fertilized won't this stop the cucmbers growing as i thought they only grow after fertilization?????

Years back when I grew them I took the male flowers off and still got cukes.

Unwins themselves say to leave the flowers on...so that's what I'd do.

Do not remove male flowers (those without a fruit behind them) as these are necessary for pollination of the female flowers.

It's can also be grown outside and you do usually leave the flowers on outside types

I planted my cucumbers and have since ignored them completely except to pick the cucumbers. So, any flowers that appeared I have left on. Had quite a few cucumbers so far, and they tasted 'normal'. I'm guessing leaving the male flowers on is 'natural'. Specific breeds of cucumber may need different treatment though I suppose...

It depends on the type. It should say on the packet!

I don't appear to HAVE any male flowers on my Tasty Kings - though there are plenty of infant cukes forming!
I feel so left out!
