Just checked my plants and they are all now covered in blackfly on the small newer broadbeans at the top. I only have the top half left to harvest with two thirds of that being done today. Any problems from leaving them on the top ones? (i don't mind losing the few beans they are on), then after I harvest today, cut them down to the ground and shred the plant on to the compost heap, blackfly and all?
