Bangalore Torpedo ? What's that ? I thought they stopped using those shortly after D-Day...

got the bangalore torpedo chillis from mammoth onion. supposed to be verry hot and grows to about 5 inches in length, but very slim. so far, the plant is about 4 inches tall.

@ florence fennel: not really that successful. slugs are attacking them and even with cluster bombing coffee grounds, they still don't give up.

Welcome back dope540. At least some of your crops are doing okay

Slugs and snails have decided to wreak havoc in my garden the past few weeks... they're so annoying!

already pondering on what to grow next year. i am thinking of growing less varieties, but more volume. i'm aiming for 50+ plants of each variety.

purple sprouting borcolli appear to be doing well and escaping majority of the chomping. might aim for 10 of these.

tomoto plants are untouched by sluggies and they grow fast. tick for these.

mega volume for spinach and kale as i love eating them.

runner beans cos they grow like weeds, even though the sluggies love them.

            butternut squash and courgettes.

            today's update:
runner beans are nearly fully stripped of their leaves.
2 of the 4 courgettes pretty much dead now.
the 11 spinach plants are down to 1.
california wonder peppers are going ok. mainly cos theyre being kept indoors.

              update:

purple podded peas- 2 surviving. the rest are still hanging in there, just no peas.

              runner beans- dead

broad beans- 1 surviving with a couple of pods

tomatoes- going strong, no 'matoes yet

bangalore torpedo chilli is still going well. slow progress, but the weather has only started picking up the past week or so, so it's been indoors up until now.

purple sprouting brocolli- getting to be some beasts

              spinach- fail.

besides me being a bit over ambitious with variety of crops this year. i think my dad has a part to play in it. he's always messing about with the soil near and around hte plants, trying to get rid of the weeds.

                update:

psb are going well. becoming giants. so far so good.

finally got some tomatoes, loads, unripe though.

bangalore torpedo chillis have been fruiting for hte past few weeks. had aobut 10 chillis around 3inches long. stupidly hot as well. so the only harvest i have been able to get is the one that i dont eat much of. have very sensitive taste buds.
