I'll go and furtle another couple for tea, and see what they're like.
Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives

Hmmm...not so bad this time. 9 spuds - only one affected:

Having had a really good look, it doesn't seem to be a form of rot as I first suspected. It does look more like it's been eaten on this one, so perhaps the suspected slug attack is correct.

I'm a little happier now anyway - doesn't seem as bad as I first thought.

Thanks. They've got a few more in now too.

Oh, the comfrey's finally decided to put in an appearance.
