My Senshyu onion harvest is still ongoing. The first one we used hit me light a brick in the face. I never cry when prepping onions but jesus did i do so with these. Proper stinging pain to boot. Real nice and tasty though Nearly every one bolted to flower but nipped them off before they got too big and they didn't cause any noticeable damage.

The spring plants sets have caught up and could probably be harvested now, both the brown and red onions but no need too so they are staying put to carry on growing.

In the brochures now are Snowball white onions for Autumn planting, they say they are nice and mild............has anyone tried them? I wondered how hardy they are as well?

I like my onions to have the taste of onions so mild ones don't get grown in my plot.

I grew them this year, they haven't been great. Hardy enough, but none of them got bigger than Silverskin size (small pickling onion)
