    You assume they the 'comfrey police' would know the difference, just tell them its roses with a slightly different odour.

        Funny you should say that because their was (amongst others) a New Zealand MP (Jacqui Dean) that had asked that it should be banned (water that is).

            The garlic and water spray I use to control aphids is ilegal too, so i've been told.

                          Ooh, you lot made me curious and I looked up the rhubarb mix. Can't use it though, because it looks like it would attract dogs who would be poisoned if they licked it.

                            Had a friend around yesterday who asked what I was doing - sitting in the shade pushing comfrey leaves into milk containers. He seemed quite interested and wanted to see 'one I'd made earlier' I did warn him that it stank but he insisted on taking a good sniff - that made his eyes water! Even more impressed when I told him it would be illegal in France - ripped up a seedling and took it with him. . .just in case they ever make it illegal here!!
