  • Treatment for Pepper Plants with Grenn Fly ?

Not had this before but as I hope to eat the peppers very soon, how do I control the swarms of very small flies all over the plants ?

The spray does not need to kill the flies and me ! *LOL*

I also have spot of 'rust' on the leaves.... is there a fix for this ?

    Any thoughts very welcome !

I was about to post on the Greenfly thread that Ginger-Ninger started yesterday, so I'll do this one first and then that one

I've just used an organic spray from Bayer Garden - called organic Bug Free (it's a purple bottle). It's supposed to deal with green, white (and I'm guessing blackfly) as well as spider mites, so I'm giving it a go on my veg. I haven't had to use it on my peppers but I have just done the tomatoes beans etc.

Google it and see if it says ok for peppers. Can be used right up to harvest. Won't know if it works for a day or so I guess - will get back to you when I look tomorrow.

    All the best

P.S. Welcome to the Vine BTW
P.P.S. No idea about the rust spots on peppers.

a spray bottle with water and washing up liquid in it works like a treat. You will need to apply it every day though

Try putting a few Marigold plants near to them, that should keep them away from your Pepers.
