funny you say that people always think that radish and spring onions are easy to grow, well over the past few years ive been having problems with both, the spring onions dont germinate, whereas the radishes germinate but dont grow, and when they do the blummin slugs eat em. however had amazing peas last year - sounds wrong but i dont know how else i can put it hahaha

Well, after Kevin the moody Aubergine last year, would like one of the varieties to come off. I knew nothing last year. Know a little bit more now, to help them get on their way. Kevin flowered, but since he was outside and exposed, I helped the elements kill him. Should anyone of them get that far, each one will be in a pot not a grow bags. With a gardening bag acting as mini green house. If kevin hadnt been so exposed or attacked by aphids, I'm sure he would have been all right or close ish.

I have 4 plants all outside the greenhouse now, cos the plants look like they have blight - and I can't risk losing the toms
Up till then I've had a few skinny aubs (Tres Hative variety) off each one
The best I've ever managed - but I won't be growing them again. They're too much hassle for what you get!

AUbergines are (so far) doing well this year - out of nine plants, all have fruits on, two have three or more fruits growing well. In pots in battered old blowaway; getting a quick go with the paintbrush and me staring at them at various points during the day, with a cup of coffee in my hand. Varieties are Early Long Purple, Listada and Bonica. After slugs ate through the first flowers, I've taken to bringing them into the kitchen on particularly sluggy nights.I don't roll on Shabbos
