  • dare I.................????

bit of a dilemma, hubby's made me another bed for veggies, now in my greenhouse I have a rogue squash plant (I nust have dropped a seed), I don't know what variety but its starting to take over, what do you reckon my chances are of moving it to this new bed? Shall I give it a go?
I reckon(judging by the size and speed of growth it could be a hundredweight - which if it is could cause a 'bit' of a problem if it stays where it is!!!)

I'd give it a go too. After all you didn't expect the plant in the first place so even if it's not successful, you haven't really lost anything.

If it's going to take over the greenhouse you'd probably have to get rid anyway, nothing to lose, so go for it. Good luck

Have a go - dig it out with as much root as possible, put it in the bed and water it in well.

Why not leave the rootball where it is and remove a pane of glass in the greenhouse and take the stem out there and then train it into an available space outside. Use cardboard to reblock the space the glass came out of and you will have a plant with warm feet out in the open air. It will love it.

well it looks like they've survived (found another one when I lifted the bigger one) The first big leaves have gone a bit floppy but the growing tip on both are lokking quite healthy and theres even a couple of flowers that look like they're going to open. Will just have to wait to see what it turns out to be!!
