Pops has decreed that the ghost rider pumpkin ought to be sacrificed, and I think Ma is going to curry the one fruit this week. I might save the seeds and give them to any willing good homes.
I know traditionally these are only carved. But why waste all that good stuff inside. I'll let you know if and how that goes! Might even try carving it!
That is the intention Ma has stated. Is probably going to be curried.
We are also hoping to save the seeds. The provenance of these, is that Bruno was a seedling made by the kitchen garden, or garden kitchen people. (Though i bought baby bruno the nice garden cafe place in Kings heath). They do organic seedlings. I have googled webbed them and they seem okay. Seeds are going to saved.
I don't know, but don't think, that the seeds are the boo hiss F1 thing. Nor do i take any responsibility for curcurbit promiscuity. Call it good faith ^_^
Right, well in the spirit of spreading the green fingered gospel; I don't mind sharing ghostrider pumpkin seeds. I am offering seeds if folks wanted them Have checked with a lovely Mod. So if you want some-once they are dried etc-PM and SAE's, please. First come, first served as well. I'm not sure how many there are that moment. Hypothetically speaking, if ten seeds cost you £2 ish. I'm donating Free to a good home!
Bruno was bought from The Kitchen garden Cafe, Kings heath and was the baby of a seedling company with a similar sounding name. Have just tried to find the label, and I can't see it in the dark outside.
A number of grapes now have seeds sired by Bruno. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Would be lovely to hear of whether his offspring become new shoots. As long as they don't knock on my door the moment they turn eighteen; can you imagine it? A darth vader/Luke moment?
I know of one grape who is nurturing a couple of babies. Any one else having a go? Would be nice to hear from you if you are. Just don't expect any child support...
Reports came in today of one bruno baby that had made it adulthood! Yes, one bruno baby, green but made it. Looks beautiful, and I commend the grower. Made my day
