Tom leaves going curly and purple

Ive done a search but cant find a specific thread.
My Piglet willie french blacks are in a polytunnel in florist buckets. The leaves are curling and the veins are going purlple, with the leaves having a purplish hue.
The leaves are curling lengthways, and then turning over, so the underneath is upwards.

What sort of deficiency is this and how do I address it?

Yes maybe? I wanted to put the heating on last night! Initially it was just my piglet willies, but it seems to be spreading to my aunty madges and glden queens too. I was worried they were deficient in something and needed to give them a boost? Perhaps I just need to get some fleece for the supposed barmy summer evenings!

Thanks rustylady! Mine were doing the same thing - curling up madly, then straightening out gradually over a few days. It sounds like the "oscillating temperatures and excess static starch" problem from the end of the page. We're trying not to let it get too hot in there during the day now and the leaves seem to be holding steady.

Leaf curl/roll can certainly becaused by a wide variation between day/night time temperatures and providing the leaf looks heathly thats not really a problem.

Green house white fly can also cause it so have a quick check under the leaves for tiny white moth like critters.

Dont see to be any pests (apart from the children!) so its probably cold at night, Id been leaving the door open, as Usually I get terrible probs with botritus! Ive removed some of the lower leaves today to aid circulation too. Plus Ill follow your lead Chris and close up early and perhaps open up later as its in the shade til about 10 anyway so not hot.
