  • Rosemary cuttings

Just potted some cuttings and covered with bag as seems to be the general advice I can find.

I cant' find any mention of where they should be left though so I was wondering if they should be kept inside? If they are ok outside would the plastic greenhouse be ok or should they be more shaded?

    Thanks

I just stick about 6 in a pot and put them in a light place but not in direct light, keep them moist, no bag no nowt they do themselves.

They also root well in a glass of water.

When I take rosemary cuttings I fill a good sized plant pot with very fine compost, this helps the roots to grow un-hindered by lumps (personal choice). I take 8 cuttings and arrange them around the edge of the pot, water well, then put them in a warm but shady spot. It takes a while for them to get going but there worth the wait. Keep the compost moist but not wet or this will rot the cuttings. As said above...you can also pop them in a jug of water to get them to root.
