Ok - so under my new frame http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...ess_60544.html I found 2 ripe Blue OSU toms.
I've saved the seed, but the taste wasn't quite as full as I'd hoped - the one that was 'redder' underlying the blue was tastier - so perhaps they improve as they ripen.
It is only the skin that is blue, and it changes from blue to purple really once ripe.
I've had worse toms though...and it had been raining quite alot the last few days so it might have had an effect on the taste.Attached Files

So excited - I have Blue OSU toms ripening. Seed sown on 31 December as part of the Early Tomato thread. The stems have a blue tinge too and at first, I thought it was some sort of disease - until the fruit started to ripen !!
Next year I promise I will label every plant, not just a few
What was the final verdict on the taste and have you grown them again since the first time?
