Although I like all my veg equally (of course!) I love my squashes a little more equally than the rest! They are just so exotic and different. Although I have nearly completely FAILED with cucumbers this year! LOL

Oooooh and YUM courgette and feta muffins rock!

For purely practical reasons I have chosen the potato family, as we cant live without tomatoes, I also love aubergines, chillis and potatoes are a no brainer. Also this family are relatively easy to grow (except aubergines) so are good for beginners.
Second would be alliums for the same reasons as above.
If I could choose others purely on the things I like the most, it would be cucumber for courgettes and squashes...although I am not very good at growing them!!

Just read the families properly (although I did know if I thought about it properly) may have to change my mind to the potato family, I love potatoes, tomatoes and aubergines but LOVE chilli's - Could not live without them! Two years ago I managed to grow so many I made my own Chilli powder! Who'd a thunk it

I voted for spuds but now the runners are in production can I change my mind? Then when its time for main crop onions I might have to ask again.

Not a great lover of peas in our family except..........mange tout.
Cooked or raw, always wolfed down (that's if they make it to the table)
So voting for the pea family & yet not liking 'proper peas'
                Go figure :-)
