  • Chilli flower problems

Hi I was just wondering if anyone could help me, Im growing to chilli plants on a very sunny windowsill. This is the first time I have grown chillis. I gave them a little water everyday and they seemed to be doing really well. The plants have lots of flowers but the flowers seem to be growing brown and the flower and stalk attached are dropping off. How do I stop this from happening? When the flower begins to brown I can see the little end of the chilli poking through but then the whole stalk falls off leaving me chilli less!!!!
Im really disappointed as this is my first attempt, Can anybody out there help me

brown normally says to me 'over watering'. Do you water because the plants need it (ie, do the pots feel light when you pick them up?)

They will need feeding too, tomato food is ideal.

Chillies are self-pollinating, but a gentle shake now & again won't hurt, and may help them to set fruits

What size pots are they in? As TwoSheds says, watering should be done according to what the plants need not just as a daily routine.

I just water them when they feel dry, they are in small terrocotta pots, I will try tomatoe food and less water, thankyou so much for the help
