I have a plot and a bit of garden I grow veg/fruit in. In my experience I get better results from the plot for summer fruit/veg and better results from the garden in the winter. Its probably something to do with exposure to additional sun in the summer at the plot and more shelter at home in the winter, so I grow accordingly. Winter veg are split between both but the leeks and PSB are better or earlier at home every year.
I do spend a bit more time in my greenhouse at home trying to extend the seasons for the crops - I've had toms right through to mid December in past years but success with winter lettuce has always been a bit sparse. I wonder if anyone can give me some ideas to improve that?
