Is it possible for a potato to chitt too much? A fellow lottie owner gave me a few bags yesterday that he was kindly given by the local B&Q manager (thanks!!) because he had taken them off sale and was going to throw them away.....some of the tatties have got sprouts 3 or 4 inches long?

Should I, could I plant these now?

    Any ideas?

Bang 'em in! Just make sure the sprouts aren't broken off in the process and that they are covered with soil so the frost doesn't get them. If they are free it doesn't matter if it isn't the best yield you've ever had.
