something wrong with my gherkins and cucumber plant

over tha least couple of days iv noticed my gherkins and cucumber plant have gone a bit floppy wnd the leaves are going yellow and brown,anyone have any ideas what could be causing this im quite new to growing so dont have a clue

I think this may be cucumber mosaic virus - carried by aphids - have a look at the link:-

ahh yes cheers for that id did find some of those little fellas on there so i got rid of those,i also noticed the floppyness was from the root so im thinking i have overwatered them from above and mby got root rot,iv piled up the compost around the root to give it a bit more support but is there anything else i can do to save these plants
