Last years garlic?

Ordered my garlic last year, but never managed to plant it out. Will it be ok to try it this year, or will I have to buy in new?

I'd be surprised if it's not soft and sprouting dawn, but if it's not then off you go!

If it's firm it should be fine, I had some elephant garlic left gtom last year that seems ok and has gone in about 3 weeks ago (and a couple are coming up already)
