I still may go along to Dobbies who sometimes have a better selection and usually reduce their seeds at this time of year.My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Righty-ho! That's my day sorted, Cowells it is. Thank you.
I'll steer well clear of the seeds though as I have a carrier bag full from Peter Barrett's 50p sale.............. well maybe I'll just have a look; it would be rude not to.Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you are probably right.

Back from a short trip south, to pick up SHMBO and the dog, were I was able to visit two garden centres. One was less garden and more tat, could only find a very small selection of veg seed. When I ask whether they had any garlic and onion sets, I got a puzzled look from staff.
The other GC was Millets Farm, near Abingdon, which has an excellent selection of veg. I picked up onion sets of Electric, Troy, Radar and Senshyu. Also got two garlic, Germidour and MarcoSometimes you just have to scratch that itch and get dirt under your finger nails.
