Hi
I have a bit of a strange question but here goes...I dug up what appears to be several million paris silverskin pickled onions last weekend. They were bulging at the seems to come out of the ground.
I have made pickled onions before with 'proper' onions not silverskins...
My question is this. Do I need to let them dry a bit first before pickling. I have already topped and tailed them but I havent actually washed them off. They are currently sat in a bowl in my kitchen waiting for the next step. Is it just a case of washing them and salting them or are they best drying out for a little bit first?
Thanks!!
