Don Quixote wasn't as daft as he looked!
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

A section of lyric from a reasonably well known artist....

          Don Quixtote
          What do you say?
Are we proud, are we brave,
          Or just crazy?
          Don Quixote
          What do you you say?
Are we shouting at windmills like you?

Common sense is as good as
          A cafe on the moon
          When men and machinery
          Come to their high noon

Ahhh but who sung it .............. stop googling

Damn - I'm too late. I love a bit of Nik Kershaw.

Bean shouts at windmills - he loves them (though they are called wind turbines of course). We see a few on the way up t'M1 on our way to visit the northern out-laws (soon to become northerners in exile daan saaf).

I'm with Snadge on this one, not only are turbines extremely ugly they take a lot of money out of my pocket which makes it even worse.

I can understand why some people do not want to live near wind farms, just as I do not want to live next to a nuclear power station. Mr Frosty and I think wind farms are big friendly giants waving at the people going by

Oh, forecast is for snow on the hills this weekend

No I don't own a power station and if I did I certainly would not be worried by wind farms. But I do object to paying hundreds of pounds a year in extra tax so that wind farms become economical for the companies that build and operate them.
