Because I prefer real life contact to the internet, because I might be a little tentative about my idea as I am not a gardening expert. Many many reasons.

What I asked was not unreasonable. Really. And it was asked in the spirit of someone who became silly excited about gardening over the past year and thought that she could do something fun and wonderful with it.
So what is the something fun and wonderful, and why are you being so secretive?

I'm still confused, but would like to help if I can. PM me Lisa-Marie, if you want to.

Here are some sites on intercropping, which you may already have seen and discounted

      - Increase your harvest with intercropping and catch cropping part 1 of 3

      - Organic Weed Management

      - Intercropping vegetable plants. Suitable vegetables for inter-cropping.

Lisa-Marie can't PM, and wanted the advice in person rather than electronically - I thought that was the whole issue.

Thanks Piggle for the offer. I have several Joy Larkcom books so I'll have a look myself. I'd forgotten how comprehensive her books are. Interesting topic!!

A quick browse through half a dozen gardening books by various well known gardeners showed that Joy Larkcom gives the most information on intercropping and undercropping - 4 pages in "The Salad garden". Didn't look at any of her other books so there may well be more!

Just to clear up some earlier confusion: allmark-whatever-his-name-was was the previously banned person, not Lisa-Marie. He was previously known as beezusAquimby, occupation: lurking under bridges

                          As you were.

I think you have 2 choices here Lisa-Marie. Either start a new thread, and ask all your questions out in the open on the forum, so that all our members can share in the information. Or tootle off to one of those other forums.

Something smells fishy (and its not my avatar)...Small project....all around the UK....sparse info? A popular search engine begining with a 'G' gave me 761,000 matches for 'vegetable intercropping', surely some of them might explain it at least a little bit..

                                Dear Sarah,

                                I don't understand the

I am looking to link in with an inter-cropping expert - I have written to a couple of forums, emailed some contacts on vegetable sites, hand written to some authors of books that I have benefited from this year whilst learning about gardening, asked friends if they know anyone, written to a couple of colleges. This to me seems to be a sensible thing to do when looking for an expert.

I don't understand why this should mean that I am accused of being someone else, accused of wanting to steal information, told to go elsewhere etc.

Thank you to the people who sent helpful messages.

I think that I will keep to real life interactions from now on...far more friendly.

                                LM
