Not a hot climate plant really, they originated in NE America / Canada so pretty chilly over there. (But possibly hot in comparison with Aberdeenshire)
Duh ! Yeah, I knew that.
What I should have said was, a climate where the summers are hotter and the winters are colder, so soil hot in summer then dry in winter.
But yes Alex-Adam (can I call you AA ?), this year I'll bet its home was warmer than Aberdeenshire, I think I have seen dim glowworms with more heat to them...
