The last load I got was advertised free if I picked it up. Good black stuff five years old. I cut it from the heap with a spade, just like peat cutting.
£1 a bag delivered sounds about right if you were buying it depending on how rotted it is?My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order

£1 abag seems about average around here, but still plenty for free if you collect/bag it yourself.Last edited by Fruit&2veg; 16-10-2011, 08:40 PM."... discipline is what the world needs today and etiquette, you know. For one of the noblest things a man can do is to do the best he can, yeah ..."

We can get it from a bloke called the muckman , he turns up on his tractor with a trailer load. £30 for 3 ton .....Not sure whether your part of Brum is too far , he's based on the A45 . a lot of plot holders use him and no-ones had a problem , and its pretty well rotted .S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig

thanks all for your advice. i used to have a tractor deliver between 15-18 tonne to my old plot for £100 but my new plot there isnt access for the tractor to get down there now so i though bags would be a good option as we could move them easy. does anyone know when they say a "bag" how much is usualy in a bag (eg what size bag)?. thanks again

thanks all for the advice, i gave the man a call today and was told that it was black bags they use and they fill them to about 8kg each and delivery was likely to take over 3 weeks. i think i may have to find someone else that will deliver to me because i dont want to wait that long plus for the money i would pay i wouldent get enough for what i want. is anyone in the birmingham area that knows of anyone that delivers manure and if so how much do you get charged for how big a load.also any contact details for them would be great. thanks again.

Anyone in Colchester currently in need of horse manure? I am trying to put together a list of people who can supply, and folk that can use it. Several allotment friends of mine are always asking for it, and I know lots of folk dearly want to get rid of their horse waste. With luck I might be able to get a contact for each allotment in the area, so everyone will get what they want.
