My best buy was some nice paint for my free shed LOL

Or maybe the big pink plastic trug from Asda.. cost me no more than a couple of quid, and it holds everything that I drag up to the allotment on my trolley, and holds all the produce on the way back. Fab

Oh no.. actually it was the hosepipe with a spray head. Easily that has saved me the most time of all things I've bought this year

My best buy has to be some replacement glass for my FREE 8x6 greenhouse. What a bargain!
I can't live without multicoloured trugs either. Carrying logs, weeds, washing, collecting water. The brighter they are, the more I like them and when I see a new colour trug which I don't already have in my collection I just have to buy it. I also bought a long-handled, wire-headed patio crack scraper thingy which is really good for getting the moss out and saves all that bending.

My best buy has to be what Binners claims is a long handled heart shaped 'grave diggers' Burke & Hare spade!

The first 3 in this list are CLEAN ones, not old dirty ones. Oh, and one for the car washing stuff, under the stairs.

I get them when the are on offer, rather than pay full price.
          Likewise!!!!!!!

What's it called VC please? I could really do with a tool that works between paving stones without the need to bend. I'll not be putting it on my list, I'll be buying one.

Hi FF, Re the wire headed scraper thingy. Sorry I haven't a clue what its called but I saw them in Wyevale a few days ago on special for less than £10. Seriously contemplated buying another one. I think mine was Burgon & ball. Just Googled and found this:

A packet of sunflower seeds my girlfriend bought me. I was transfixed that seeds I had planted, actually burst into life and grew, but not just grow, but grow big. They were the first things I had ever planted.

I'd forgotten my gel filled knee bads (and they really are like giving your knees a hug as you plant), but I think the best buys this year are a choice between the supermarket chives (each pot of which split into around eight and planted up a lot of my new fruit tree/fruit bush beds to provide ground cover) and the raspberry canes that I didn't intend to buy but that have given raspberries for around the last two months despite being in pots.
