Pea Mildew

I have a white dust on all of my pea's & now my late flowering sweet pea have it.

I read its a lack of nitrogen so gave them a blast of seaweed fertilizers!!!

I am worried it will spoil for me next year!!!

nb. weirdly its affected my purple top milans too

Any advise? Will it get as bad next year?

Its not unusual to get powdery mildew on a late crop of peas. I am pretty sure it won't affect next years crop and there are chemical controls you can use.

Pick the peas now and burn the plants would be my advice.

Bloomin eck. I'm surprised it's taken this long to happen. I usually get mildew on my peas by late August. As Pots says, pick the peas and dispose of the tops. I just put mine in the green refuse bin.

Tell me about these chemical controls please mate. If they work, they are worth a fortune. If anything is certain in gardening, it is that peas will eventually suffer from powdery mildew at the end of the season

I usually get mildew on my peas by late August.

I've had very few peas on the plot this year, because powdery mildew got them all, every sowing (even so-called "resistant" Varieties). The only decent plants were those grown at home

AP sometime ago I had some carbendazim which seemed to work. Don't know if its still available.
