can anyone tell me when i can plant my herbs outdoors in the northeast please and do they like the sun or shade

Hi stevep, I'm no expert but I would say leave it a bit longer, and depending what herbs you are planning on planting then the majority like full sun and generally poor soilLast edited by poultrychat; 06-03-2006, 01:48 PM.

You're looking from late April onwards for plants and mid-May for seed. Herbs thrive in well drained, poor soil, you need to identify which herbs you are growing as some don't do well next to each other, and others, like mint, should never be planted in the ground as they are a bully and will run amuck.
