Nasturtiums and marigolds still not quite given up here. Got raspberries too.

I've decided to take my toms down - so yesterday I did.

I have a large trug full now, of half ripe and half unripe toms and peppers/chillis.

I decided to do it because it is starting to get rather cold, and I didn't want to have to do it on a freezing cold wet day, as once they are all down and in the composter, and all the seedlings in there have been taken to various schools to pot on, and all the seeds are out and packed up - I am doing the sulphur candle thingy and I do not want to be out there too late cleaning it as soon enough, I will want to be putting next year's seedlings out there.

I reckon I've timed it just right to still be able to use my toms in my festive chilli on Christmad Day.

Remember to tape up any keyhole or gaps with your sulphur thingy. Wear a scarf around your mouth whilst lighting - bad eggy stink!

I know it's going to be bad....we used to use sulphur in engineering and one day, someone let it catch fire and I thought I was going to die.

Mr Z will be lighting it whilst I put the coffee on. In a few weeks, I still have plenty of tidying to do before then. Going to leave it open to the elements for a few days after before I venture in as well.

I have some very confused strawberries in flower - I'm sure the fruit will drop off, but it's amusing nonetheless!
