can anyone say just how warm you need to keep the pepper plants for them to survive over the winter,would a windowsill be too warm?,i have consigned 12 plants to the compost bin this year,but would like to try overwintering next year..

I would have thought it would be more of a problem if they got too cold? not to warm?

I just leave mine on the windowsill and it's never been a problem.

Mine lived on the kitchen windowsil too, I just pruned it back to make it look a bit tidier
